The Glow Worm Tunnel Precinct

The Brief

As part of the communications strategy for the Glow Worm Tunnel upgrade project, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife engaged Juicy Projects to produce a series of videos to communicate the fascinating history of the tunnel and walking track, the delicate and beautiful world of glow worms, a visitor education social media clip and a behind-the-scenes mini-documentary that speaks to the challenges of the upgrade project.

One of the key aspects to communicating the message of the glow worms and their precious ecosystem, was the ability to film the glow-worms under strictly controlled light conditions, with extended motion-control timelapse photography. The results provide insight into the movement of these creatures and their behaviour in this pitch-black environment.

Working (and camping) on location with the small and experienced crew in this remote location, a 3km bushwalk (with stairs) from the vehicles, is exactly the type of project that sets Juicy apart.

A wonderful project to work on and a great experience (even in the dark!) for everyone.
