After a spate of accidents involving babies and infants in prams and strollers on NSW train platforms, RailCorp needed to communicate the importance of keeping hold of prams to new parents.
It was decided to create a dramatic storyline involving a distracted Mum, waiting for a train at a suburban platform. The story unfolds in heavily contrasted black and white, the yawning gap at the edge of the platform to the train tracks was established as a dark villain in the story. In the days before social media and YouTube, the 2.5 minute DVD was distributed through hospital maternity wards as part of new mum packs.
